All websites are hyperlinked under the tabs to help you and your child easily navigate directly to the site. Below are the site descriptions.
RAZ-kids.com is a reading site to encourage your child to read more and improve comprehension skills. Your child should read and listen (at least 1 time each) to one book at-a-time and then take the quiz. They will earn points for reading, listening and completing each quiz. If they do not score 100%, have them reread and then retake the quiz (they will earn more points, too). They can enter into RAZ Rocket where they can build their very own universe using the points they have earned - it's a fun motivator for them.
Factmonster.com and mrnussbaum.com or both free websites that have all subject areas available - and grade levels. At the start of the year, I like to utilize these sites for possible sites to go to for math homework. Check them out!
Spellingcity.com has a free section on its site which allows your child to plug in the spelling words and practice them in fun ways. I encourage your child to also use this site for the high frequency words and sight words that they are receiving on the daily Saxon homework. You can find these words in a box on the homework side of the Saxon word study page.
Sumdog.com is a fun math website. This site allows you to play for free. You can set up your own "Parent" account and play against your child or just have a family math game night. Give it a go!
Scholastic.com is a book ordering website. The hyperlink also should take you right to my teacher code. You can place an order at any time. The catalogs are updated monthly and you can use your credit card.
